13. Sao Paulo, Brazil
With the mountain of publicity from the recent summer Olympics, partiers from around the world are heading to Rio de Janeiro. But when it comes to non-stop nightlife don’t overlook Brazil’s capital city of Sao Paulo. Just as in Rio, you’ll find Carnaval, beautiful women, upbeat music, and stunning beaches in Sao Paulo, but you’ll spend a lot less here to enjoy them. In Sao Paulo you’ll have an experience comparable to Miami or Las Vegas, but at a fraction of the cost due to affordable hotels, low cost air fare and direct flights from many cities in the U.S.
The neighborhoods of Itaim Bibi, Jardins, and Vila Olímpia are chock full of clubs, with dance floors commanded by national and international DJs playing house and techno music all night long. If you get away from the downtown area some good lower cost hotel deals can be found. A must-try when you go to Sao Paulo is the traditional bowl of Acai, a combination of frozen fruit, chocolate and cereal – a perfect deal to soften the hangover.
